Educations are essential to ensure better quality of life for all children and a better world for all people. We at Village Group feel every child has the fundamental right to a quality basic education, which helps the children, their families and their communities to break the cycle of poverty ,ignorance, exploitation and social custom that perpetuates the worst form of child labour.VWS has been running the " Village Model School" for the children in Howrah District. The specific problem area being addressed by this project is the way of growing up of little children from the families below poverty line ,who generally do not have accessibility to the schools .Due to low level of awareness and motivation the children were not admitted to the schools and used to grow up in such an environment which in m any cases led them to become anti- social elements.

We at Village Group put these poor kids in the school where pre-primary to primary level education is given up to class V. Apart from well trained teachers the school has 2 care-workers to look after the children. Supplementary nutrition, regular health check up and required medical support, entertainment with playing materials are also provided to the children. Our project motivates the parents to admit their children in high schools and educate them for better future.

Presently we have 132 students in 7 classes from pre-primary to Class V level.
