In India because of illiteracy and lack of education most of the people do not have the minimum awareness about their right of being a citizen of India . They are the victims of poorness, poor health, superstition and exploitation. A nation cannot grow if more than half of the population is uneducated. Unison's latest global education report projects a bleak and disturbing picture of India 's performance. The Union HRD ministry might have dismissed the report, dubbed as the most comprehensive survey of the world's education trends, seems a wake up call for India which aspires to become a knowledge economy powerhouse in coming years. The report ranks India among the poorest-performing Sub-Saharan African countries, placing it on its EFA development index (EDI) to the 76th position in a list of 94 countries. We at Village Group spend time to educate our own customers who are involving with some income generating activity.
