As we celebrated the International Women's Day on 8th of March, we salute the Women fighting out of poverty and became successful and independent. As in the case of Urmila Sau , 38, from Howrah district of West Bengal, is staying with her husband who has been selling utensils. She is having three daughters and a son. The income of her husband was not sufficient to satisfy the bare need of her family. Then she took the initiative and decided to take loan from V.F.S.P.L .At that time she took Rs.2000 from V.F.S.P.L and started a small grocery shop. Now she has transformed into a confident entrepreneur and is in 4th cycle loan worth of Rs.20,000. Gradually her shop became very big in that area and sell is booming day by day. At any point of time the stock lying at her shop is Rs.50,000 - Rs.60,000. She said that currently her monthly income from that shop is Rs.10,000. She purchased a land of 2 kattah now and thinking to build up a house of her own. Her elder daughter has completed her secondary examination and ready to help her out in her business. Her younger daughters and son are studying in class IX, class VII & class VI respectively. She thanks V.F.S.P.L for her socio-economic development.
